The threat remains

So, the threat is lifted. But it’s not. Not for the half million students who were kept home and now have to return to school wondering… will a bad person be at my school today? Not for the parents who will send their kids off to school wondering… will I see her again?  Overreacting? Ask them.

Our state finally passed an Extreme Risk Protection Order amid wailing and gnashing of teeth from NRA supporters and some sheriffs and politicians around the state. Was this young woman not deemed an “extreme risk”?  The FBI thought so.

The FBI also supports extending research time for background checks on a federal level. That would have prevented this harrowing situation and saved that woman’s life sine they were already aware of her.

Our lives and well-being are more precious than a gun. Or are they?  Looking at you, Sen. Cory Gardner.
